Product Recall - Ideal Boilers

We have been made aware of a manufacturing issue that may affect Ideal boilers fitted within homes after August 2022. The manufacturer has advised that you can continue to use the boiler but to check the pressure is set to 1.5bar.

We can offer additional assistance to tenants who need help checking and setting.  We are in the process of contacting the tenants affected and will contact again once the manufacturer confirms what actions they are taking to resolve the problem.

Update 15/08/2024: Contact has been made with all tenants who have an affected boiler in their home.  Over half of the boilers have now had new new safety devices fitted by engineers.  Ideal has arranged for the contractor, James Frew, to complete the fitting of all remaining safety parts and the contractor is in the process of contacting tenants to arrange appointments.
