Please be wary of responding to messages from unknown people

Atrium Homes has been made aware that some of our tenants are receiving texts from fraudsters: 

• If you receive a text claiming to be from the Department for Work and Pensions, asking you to apply for your Winter Heating Allowance, please do not click on any links.  Links included in the message may lead to fake websites designed to steal your personal and financial details.  You do not need to apply for the Winter Heating Allowance which will be automatically paid to anyone who is eligible.

Please note that as the DWP starts to process the Winter Heating payments in the next few months, fraudsters might try to contact you again.

If you have older friends or relatives who might be vulnerable to fraudsters, please make them aware of this scam.

• If you receive a text about outstanding repairs, this text has not been sent by Atrium Homes.  We would urge tenants to be cautious in replying to these types of text messages from unknown senders, as they might be a scam.
