Staff and Services

Atrium Homes currently employs 24 staff across four main teams:

Headed by the Chief Executive, the Corporate team deals with a range of support functions within Atrium Homes, as well as providing assistance to other teams. Corporate staff have responsibility for:

  • Board and sub committee servicing and related governance matters
  • human resources, office management and health & safety
  • marketing, publicity and PR

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the team deals with a wide range of day to day operational matters related to managing tenancies and properties. Spending a large amount of time out on Atrium’s estates ensuring both the houses and environment are well maintained, they also carry out home visits to discuss a range of tenancy matters.
Operations staff have responsibility for:

  • debt management – including welfare benefit and housing benefit advice, monitoring of rent payments and rent accounts, former tenant accounts and rechargeable repairs
  • estate management – including dealing with anti-social behaviour and neighbour disputes
  • allocations – including waiting list management, terminating and letting tenancies, and selecting and allocating properties
  • repairs – including receiving and processing day to day repair requests, alterations and medical adaptations of tenanted properties

Reporting to the Director of Investment, this team has responsibility for:

  • implementing property improvement programmes, such as kitchen, bathroom and window replacement
  • identifying future development opportunities
  • implementing potential regeneration activities

Atrium is keen to provide a range of housing and house types to address differing housing needs and the team’s remit extends to considering diversification of housing provision to address the needs of family, older persons and specialist housing for community care needs.

The team also has responsibility for asset management of existing stock, including:

  • identifying, procuring and implementing improvement and maintenance works
  • demonstrating value for money
  • ensuring contractual and legal obligations are met
  • delivering a quality product in line with the sustainability and efficiencies agenda

Finance and ICT
Reporting to the Finance & Business Services Manager, this team has responsibility for:

  • financial management and control
  • some aspects of human resource management
  • office administration
  • ICT

Staff deal with a range of matters related to tenants and other Atrium customers. They handle many different customer transactions on a daily basis, including:

  • receiving rental and rechargeable repair payments
  • ensuring payments are lodged in the correct customer account
  • processing contractor invoices
  • ensuring suppliers are paid on time

In addition, the team provides key inhouse services to other teams including:

  • monitoring spend and budget
  • providing detailed management accounts
  • managing payroll, timekeeping and absence management

Finance and ICT staff also provide finance support services to Atrium Initiatives, our wholly owned subsidiary.
